Some fall pics of a days old 2014 Dodge Dart SXT Rallye – built and shipped October 13 2013.
Engine: 2.4-Liter I4 Tigershark with MultiAir. 184hp, 171 lb-ft torque
Mileage: Avg 24-25 mpg in the city, 31-35 on the highway (varies per wind and speed limit)
Color: Maximum Steel Metallic Clear Coat
Notes: I tested a 2013 1.4L Turbo with 6 speed automatic and thought something must be wrong with it. The same model drove nicely with a stick which is what I planned on getting until I drove the 2014 2.4L. Smooth power band for normal city or highway driving, nice pickup when desired, decent mileage. Dodge noticed too – most 2014 models come with the 2.4L standard. The 2013 Dart models require a Ouija board to assemble, 2014 clarifies choices and models nicely. The Rallye Package brings nice exterior touches, quiet dual exhaust that has a nice mild throaty tune when revved, and some pretty solid suspension which is very directly connected to the wheel. So far I’m loving it – basic car with some attitude, pep, nice features and a solid feel.
