Spent five days in Dublin for work, had Sunday off and went for a ride! Similar to an epic ride in San Francisco I followed the strict regime of staying up late for intensive liquid carbo loading, getting up early and hitting the most local looking hip bike rental shop. That would be Neill’s Wheels in Dublin. When I called it didn’t appear the person who answered knew the phone line was published as a business line. I asked if it was Neill’s and the fella had to think about it for a moment. Once he realized his personal mobile was published on the internet he was very helpful. Perfect. The next morning a young gentleman who spoke no English rented me a Dawes Mojave and helped me adjust seat height and brakes (My beast on Kilrock Road later that day). I turned down the helmet, epic rides require wind in the hair… Off I went for a 3hr 27mile ride from Dublin to Howth with a 20mph tailwind out and a rainy headwind back. What a blast.
